1/2/2007 3:12:16 PM

All 766 unique numbers will be chosen on January 8, 2007.

COLUMBIA, SC: On Monday, January 8, 2007, the South Carolina Education Lottery (SCEL) will use a Random Number Generator (RNG) to select 766 winning numbers at random from all of the Carolina Millionaire Raffle tickets sold. In the drawing, a total of $5.5 million will be awarded as follows:
• Four top prizes of $1 million
• Two prizes of $100,000
• 60 prizes of $10,000
• And 700 prizes of $1,000.

The Carolina Millionaire Raffle announcements will be televised on the following FOX stations during halftime of the national college football championship game:
• Columbia: WACH
• Greenville: FOX Carolina
• Myrtle Beach: WFXB
• Charleston: WTAT
• Charlotte, NC: FOX 18

A RNG is a secure computerized system randomly generating numbers. RNG’s have been used by lotteries for many years. A SCEL draw official will press a button to activate the RNG to begin the raffle number selection process of all 766 Carolina Millionaire Raffle numbers. Viewers will see the winning raffle ticket numbers for the four top prizes only.

A complete list of all Carolina Millionaire Raffle numbers will be available on the Lottery’s website, www.sceducationlottery.com, as well as at SCEL’s 3,500 retail locations statewide.

The eight-digit raffle number printed on the ticket must match the eight-digit raffle number randomly drawn in the exact sequence to be considered a winning ticket and to be entitled to a Carolina Millionaire Raffle prize.

All Carolina Millionaire Raffle prizes must be claimed at a SCEL Claims Center. Prizes more than $100,000 must be claimed in person.
