Columbia, SC: As soon at the South Carolina Education Lottery’s (SCEL) Columbia Claims Center doors opened, Larry Williams, of Fayetteville, North Carolina, was there to claim his $1 million prize on the $100 Million Cash Bonanza instant ticket. Williams, along with his brother, came to Columbia with a briefcase in hand.

“I stopped by the last retailer on the border,” said Williams. “The retailer said it was his last ticket. I bought it , scratched it, and bam there it was.” He continued, “I’m going to share [the winnings] with my family and give them $10-$15 a piece,” he then laughed. “I’ve always said what you give, you get in return.”

Williams purchased his ticket from Village Grocery located at 100 E. Tatum Avenue in McColl.

“I love the lottery in South Carolina,” said Williams. “I come down here every Wednesday. I call it a ‘Winning Wednesday’ because you all pay out the big bucks.”
Williams owns a food center in Fayetteville and is a retired veteran. Now he plans to open an ice cream stand and find a wife.

The $100 Million Cash Bonanza instant ticket launched on July 26, 2005. There are no top prizes remaining in the game. The game has ended and the last day to redeem prizes is Tuesday, October 3, 2006.
