Columbia, SC (October 10, 2005): More than 113,600 South Carolina Education Lottery (SCEL) Powerball® players won in Wednesday night’s drawing. The winners include a match five ticket worth $200,000, bought at the Kangaroo Express #3057, located at 2101 Highway 17 South in North Myrtle Beach. The ticket purchaser did not choose the PowerPlay® option, which could have multiplied their winnings to $1 million.

As of yet, no one has come forward to claim the match five ticket.

The winning Powerball® numbers were: 4, 9, 18, 51, and 54. The Powerball® was 10. The PowerPlay® number was 5. Nationwide, no one correctly matched all six numbers to win Wednesday night’s jackpot estimated at $240 million. Therefore, Saturday’s jackpot is estimated at $290 million.

This Saturday’s Powerball® drawing will be the 4th largest jackpot in Powerball®’s history, and the 7th largest in the world. There have only been two jackpot runs more than $100 million this calendar year.

Sales for Wednesday night’s draw were $5.2 million. This was not a record sales night.

SCEL would like to remind everyone to play responsibly.
