The winner won immediately on the scratch ticket $100 Million Cash Bonanza.

Columbia, SC (August 22, 2005): Around Noon on Monday, August 22, South Carolina Lottery (SCEL) officials were presented with a winning $100 Million Cash Bonanza instant ticket. The $10 ticket was worth $1 million. The Kingstree woman is the first person to present a winning instant ticket for this amount in the history of SCEL.

The winner requested to remain anonymous. However, the retailer who sold the ticket, Radley Slavinski, had a lot to say about the winner.

“They [the store clerks] told me this morning we had a big winner,” said Slavinski. “She’s the kind of person you’d want to see hit it. She’s a regular customer.”

Slavinski is the owner of Rodger’s Country Store located at 9514 Hemingway Highway in Kingstree. Retailers who sell winning tickets redeemed for more than $50,000 receive a one percent selling bonus. The bonus is capped at $50,000. Slavinski will get a check for $10,000.

“I get $10,000,” said Slavinski. “I didn’t know it was that much. We’re bigger winners than I thought.”

SCEL launched $100 Million Cash Bonanza on July 26. More than $100.4 million in prizes remain in the game. The remaining prizes include four top prizes of $1 million still waiting to be won.
