SCEL teams up with WFXB FOX43 in Myrtle Beach, Fl

Columbia, S.C. (June 30, 2005): The S.C. Education Lottery (SCEL) has teamed up with WFXB FOX43 to air its live nightly drawings in the Myrtle Beach and Florence areas.

WFXB FOX43 will begin televising the live drawings Friday, July 1.

“The WFXB FOX43 family is thrilled to be able to bring live coverage of the SCEL to our viewers,” said David Carfolite, vice president and general manager of WFXB FOX43.

The station will air the live drawings for Pick 3 and Pick 4 at 6:59 p.m. nightly. The Palmetto Cash 5 drawing will air live at 6:59 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The Powerball® drawing will air live at 10:59 p.m. Wednesdays and Saturdays.

WFXB FOX43, which signed on in 1997, is South Carolina’s only locally owned and operated commercial television station. Owner Greg Everett also owns the bottled water company Better Blue and the weekly newspaper “The Myrtle Beach Herald.”

In addition to WFXB FOX43, SCEL has partnerships with five other stations to air its live drawings statewide.
