15 SCEL PLAYERS WIN POWERBALL SUNDAY PROMOTION!

Columbia, SC: December 9, 2003- On January 30, 2004, the South Carolina Education Lottery (SCEL) will send 15 players to a very special sports weekend in Houston, Texas.

The Powerball Sunday Promotion was held from October 20, 2003 to December 5, 2003. Players who purchased five Powerball® Plays and five Power Plays totaling ten ($10) dollars on one ticket received an entry form to mail in for the drawing. The entry form automatically printed after the Powerball® ticket.

The SCEL received over 40,000 entries for the drawing that took place on December 8, 2003.

The following SCEL players were chosen at the drawing:

The Powerball Sunday prize package includes: roundtrip airfare and ground transportation for two; passes to an “MVP Party” hosted by Lynn Swann; hotel accommodations; and $500 spending money. Each winner will also be fitted for a commemorative leather jacket.
