Lottery heats up summer with three new games
6/11/2003

Columbia, SC: Today, June 3, 2003, the South Carolina Education Lottery (SCEL) kicked off the month of June by introducing three new instant games, Casino Action, Junior Jumbo Bucks, and Match Card.

Casino Action is one of this month’s newest one dollar instant games. There’s over $3.5 million in prize money to win! On this instant ticket, players can win up to $7,000 dollars instantly! Each ticket features one of four different casino games! The overall odds of winnings are 1 in 4.93.

Junior Jumbo Bucks is a spin off of the popular $2 dollar instant game Jumbo Bucks. This $1 dollar instant game offers players over $7.7 million dollars in prize money! Match any of YOUR NUMBERS to the SERIAL NUMBER and win the prize shown for that number. If a JUMBO symbol is revealed, the winner automatically wins 5 times the prize shown for that symbol. Players can win up to $10,000 instantly! The overall odds of winning are 1 in 4.67.

June’s two dollar instant game, Match Card, gives players the opportunity to win up to $15,000! Match any of YOUR CARDS to either WINNING CARD and win the prize shown. If an Ace is revealed, players win $25 dollars instantly!

Players must be 18 years of age or older to play the games offered by the lottery. Prizes up to $500 can be redeemed at a lottery retailer. Prizes from $501 to $75,000 can be redeemed at any of the three lottery redemption centers. Amounts above $75,000 must be redeemed at the Columbia redemption center.

Since January 2002, the SCEL has transferred more than $265 million to the State Education Lottery Account for distribution according to South Carolina Legislation. The SCEL’s net proceeds pay for specific educational programs, including South Carolina’s HOPE, LIFE and Palmetto Fellows scholarships; the National Guard Scholarship Program; Lottery Tuition Assistance for two-year programs within the state’s university system; a wide range of technical upgrades for state colleges and universities; school buses; local libraries and gambling addiction services.
