SCEL AWARDS TWO HARLEY-DAVIDSONS IN SECOND-CHANCE
5/14/2003

COLUMBIA, S.C. – On Wednesday, May 14, 2003 the South Carolina Education Lottery (SCEL) awarded two 100th Anniversary Harley-Davidson® Sportster® 1200 Custom™ motorcycles to Joseph Harley of Ravenel and Jeff Regan of Columbia. The Grand Prize drawing took place at 11 a.m. at the SCEL’s draw studio located at 1333 Main Street in downtown Columbia.

Ten semi-finalists from the five second-chance drawings gathered for the Grand Prize drawing where two 100th Anniversary Harley-Davidson® Sportster® 1200 Custom™ motorcycles and eight Harley-Davidson® Super Prize Packs were awarded. The remaining eight semi-finalists won $2,000 each.

Since February, players mailed in their non-winning tickets for two more chances to win one of three 100th Anniversary Harley-Davidson® Sportster® 1200 Custom™ motorcycles or one of more than 1,000 Harley-Davidson prize packs, valued at $498 each. To enter, players filled out the back of the non-winning Harley-Davidson instant ticket, which acts as a post-card, and mailed in the ticket before May 5, 2003.

To date, more than 300,000 non-winning tickets were mailed in for five second-chance drawings that took place leading up to the Grand Prize drawing. During each drawing, two semi-finalists were selected. They are:
Efihimos Giannakos of Charlotte, N.C.
Barry S. Hughes of Gilbert
Elizabeth Steele of Clinton
Kimothy M. Bivens of Forest City, N.C.
Melissa Bleau of Beaufort
Joseph P. Harley of Ravenel
Raymond Hughes of Swansea
Virginia Low of Ellenboro, N.C.
Jeff Regan of Columbia
John Duncan of Lugoff

The last 100th Anniversary Harley-Davidson® Sportster® 1200 Custom™ motorcycle will be given away in a final BONUS drawing. All non-winning entries from the second-chance drawings, and any entries received after the draw dates for the second-chance drawings will be entered in a final bonus drawing to be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2003. One lucky person will win a 100th Anniversary Harley-Davidson® Sportster® 1200 Custom™ motorcycle and 100 people will receive a Harley-Davidson® prize pack.

There are still three 100th Anniversary Harley-Davidson® Sportster® 1200 Custom™ motorcycles that players can win instantly on the $3 Harley-Davidson® ticket. Players can purchase the tickets at any of the 3,500 SCEL retailers. Players must be 18 years of age or older and should follow the “how to play” instructions and scratch the entire play area.
