COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina Education Lottery (SCEL) players will soon have twice the fun when playing Carolina 5. Beginning May 13, the Carolina 5 drawings will be held on Tuesday and Friday nights at 11:00 p.m., offering players two chances a week to win $100,000 taxes paid.

“Since introducing the game nearly a year ago, players have won more than $8 million dollars in Carolina 5,” said Tony Cooper, SCEL’s chief operating officer. “Players love the fact that the top prize offers $100,000 taxes paid. No other lottery offers their players this type of pay out.”

In Carolina 5, players may choose five unique numbers ranging from 1 to 36. If a player’s numbers are drawn, he or she is a winner regardless of the combination. The overall odds of winning in Carolina 5 are 1 in 78.
