Instant games prepare SC for the weekend!

Columbia, SC: This weekend, a few people will have a little more cash in their pockets. Thatís because they were all awarded prize money for winning instant tickets by the South Carolina Education Lottery (SCEL) on Friday, April 25, 2003!

A woman from North Carolina was awarded the top prize of $25,000 for her winning Big Bang Bucks instant ticket! The winner did not wish to be identified.

Ralph G., a resident of Spartanburg scratched a Red Hot Cash ticket worth $1,000. This is his 5th $1,000 dollar winner!

A winner from Florence collected $1,000 for a winning Harley-Davidson instant ticket. He plans to use his winnings to pay bills.

A winner from Trenton couldnít speak when she realized that she had scratched off a winning Hot Streak ticket worth $5,000!

A lucky winner from Cameron was awarded $1,000 for her winnings from the instant ticket, Cash Vault Tripler. The top prize on this ticket is $20,000.

Since January 2002, the SCEL has transferred more than $243 million to the State Education Lottery Account for distribution according to South Carolina Legislation. The SCELís net proceeds pay for specific educational programs, including South Carolinaís HOPE, LIFE and Palmetto Fellows scholarships; the National Guard Scholarship Program; Lottery Tuition Assistance for two-year programs within the stateís university system; a wide range of technical upgrades for state colleges and universities; school buses; local libraries and gambling addiction services.
