Pick 3 still a winning game
4/11/2003

Columbia, SC: South Carolina Education Lottery (SCEL) players are still winning big on SC favorite ball game, Pick 3. To date, South Carolinians have won over $ 52.8 million dollars from Pick 3 alone!

Pick 3 is played by selecting three numbers from 0 to 9. There are several different types of play for customers to choose from, such as straight, box, or different combos. Players can win up to $500 instantly!

Shareka Wise of Columbia will tell you hat Pick 3 is one of her favorite games to play. On April 8, she was awarded $830 dollars in Pick 3 winnings. She plans to go shopping and pay a few bills with her prize money.

A Trenton woman stated that she would be getting her car fixed. “This money came at the right time for me.” She was awarded $910 in Pick 3 winnings on April 3rd.

“Pick 3 is a great game and a favorite among our players because the odds are so good,” stated Lottery Director Ernie Passailaigue. “We have winners every day!” It’s true. Depending on how you choose to play, your odds are anywhere from 1.333 to 1:1000. All players must be 18 years old to participate.

Since January 2002, the SCEL has transferred more than $225 million to the State Education Lottery Account for distribution according to South Carolina Legislation. The SCEL’s net proceeds pay for specific educational programs, including South Carolina’s HOPE, LIFE and Palmetto Fellows scholarships; the National Guard Scholarship Program; Lottery Tuition Assistance for two-year programs within the state’s university system; a wide range of technical upgrades for state colleges and universities; school buses; local libraries and gambling addiction services.
