Rock Hill Area Station to Begin Airing Nightly Drawings and Powerball Instant Millionaire Game Show

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Rock Hill area residents have finally won the lottery and players can soon watch the South Carolina Education Lottery’s (SCEL) live drawings on local television. Starting Saturday, April 5th, the SCEL’s newest official draw station, WWWB-TV 55 (cable channel 4), will begin airing the nightly drawings as well as the Powerball Instant Millionaire game show.

To celebrate the launch of WWWB-TV 55 as SCEL’s newest official draw station, the SCEL and WWWB-TV 55 will host a party on Saturday, April 5th, from 6-8:30 p.m. at T-Bones on the Lake, located at 3990 Charlotte Highway in Lake Wylie. The public is invited to attend and watch the live drawings on WWWB-TV 55. The Lottery Express, a 2002 Ford Expedition, will also tour York and Lancaster counties on Friday, April 4th, to kick off the launch of the newest draw station.

“We’re thrilled to have WWWB-TV 55 join the SCEL as an official draw station,” said Ernie Passailaigue, executive director of the SCEL. “Until WWWB-TV 55 joined us, the Rock Hill area was one of two regions of the state without an official draw station. Through our partnership with WWWB-TV 55, we are pleased to now provide players with the opportunity to watch the nightly drawings and the Powerball Instant Millionaire game show.”

Rock Hill’s WWWB-TV 55 will air the nightly Pick 3 and Pick 4 drawings at 6:59 p.m. Powerball drawings will be held each Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. and Carolina 5 drawings will air on Fridays at 11:00 p.m. The Powerball Instant Millionaire game show will air on Saturday nights at 8:00 p.m.

Other SCEL draw stations include WLTX-TV in Columbia, WSPA-TV in Greenville/Spartanburg, WPDE-TV in Florence/Myrtle Beach and WCBD-TV in Charleston.
