Charleston man wins Harley-Davidson motorcycle!

Columbia, SC: Aldo P. will be enjoying this spring a little more than last year! That’s because on Tuesday, March 25, 2003, the South Carolina Education Lottery (SCEL) awarded Aldo with a brand new Harley-Davidson motorcycle for scratching a winning Harley-Davidson instant ticket.

Aldo P., a Charleston resident, purchased the $3 dollar instant ticket, Harley-Davidson that revealed he had won a 100th Anniversary Harley-Davidson® Sportster® 1200 Custom™ motorcycle instantly!

The ticket, covered in Harley’s traditional black and orange colors, features the special edition Sportster® that players can win instantly or by participating in a statewide second-chance drawing. If a player uncovers a “motorcycle” graphic, he or she instantly wins one of four 100th Anniversary Harley-Davidson® Sportster® 1200 Custom™ motorcycles. Players also have the chance to instantly win cash prizes ranging from $3 to $30,000.

Players can mail in their non-winning tickets for two more chances to win one of three 100th Anniversary Harley-Davidson® Sportster® 1200 Custom™ motorcycles or one of more than 1,000 Harley-Davidson prize packs, valued at $498 each. To enter, players should fill out the back of the non-winning Harley-Davidson instant ticket, which acts as a post-card, and mail in the ticket. Non-winning tickets received in envelopes will be disqualified.

The winning ticket was purchased from Manny’s Greek-American #1 at 1680 Old Town Road in Charleston.

Since January 2002, the SCEL has transferred more than $225 million to the State Education Lottery Account for distribution according to South Carolina Legislation. The SCEL’s net proceeds pay for specific educational programs, including South Carolina’s HOPE, LIFE and Palmetto Fellows scholarships; the National Guard Scholarship Program; Lottery Tuition Assistance for two-year programs within the state’s university system; a wide range of technical upgrades for state colleges and universities; school buses; local libraries and gambling addiction services.
