7/16/2018 9:29:11 AM

COLUMBIA, SC (July 16, 2018) – A Columbia man was at home watching the local news when breaking news happened right in his own living room.

While relaxing in front of the television, he scratched off a $250,000 win on a lottery ticket he purchased from the Pantry Express #650 on N. Main St. in Columbia.

“It was crazy,” he told lottery officials describing the moment he won. “I just stumbled upon a quarter-of-a-million dollars.”

He says to celebrate he’s taking the family on a vacation.

The Columbia man won playing the $10 Win Big! game. Three top prizes of $250,000 remain in the game, at odds of 1 in 660,000.

For selling the claimed ticket, Pantry Express #650 in Columbia received a commission of $2,500.
