3 Way Food Mart #5 in Aiken sold the $300,000 winning ticket.

COLUMBIA, SC (September 28, 2017) – An Aiken lottery player plans to pay off debt, be a blessing to others, and get their favorite pair of pants in every color after winning $300,000 playing Palmetto Cash 5.

The Aiken resident went to 3 Way Food Mart #5 where they purchased the ticket and the clerk told them a winning ticket was sold from their location but still hadn’t been claimed.

“Well, what if I stick my ticket in this ticket checker and it’s the winning ticket?” the winner asked.

It was the winning ticket.

The player said this couldn’t come at a better time in their life. They look forward to ridding themselves of debt as well as sowing some seeds for the future. There might be a vacation or two in those plans as well.

The winning ticket matched all five numbers – 6, 8, 12, 19, and 35. The Power-Up multiplier was 3 – in the Palmetto Cash 5 drawing on Saturday, September 23.

“I always Power-Up my tickets,” said the winner.

Spending the extra $1 for Power-Up multiplied their $100,000 prize to $300,000 when a “3” was drawn.

The odds of winning $300,000 playing Palmetto Cash 5 are 1 in 1,606,214.

Now that the prize is paid, 3 Way Food Mart in Aiken received a $3,000 commission.
