Lottery names 10 finalists for summer promotion
8/22/2002

Columbia, SC: All summer long the South Carolina Education Lottery has been Grilling Up Summer Fun, the lottery’s first statewide second-chance drawing.

Grilling Up Summer Fun,a summer promotional campaign, created a fun and responsible way to dispose of non-winning tickets generated by games of the SCEL. For nine weeks, lottery players sent non-winning, Top Dog, Bar-B-Que Bucks and Raceway Cash instant tickets to a special mailing address to enter into the drawing. The summer promotion ended on August 20, 2002. Each drawing the SCEL chose 25 semi-finalists. Of the 225 semi-finalists, they each won $100 dollars.

“The response was great,” says SCEL’s Director of Marketing and Sales. “With this promotion, more than 125,000 non-winning tickets will be deposed of properly.”

On August 22, 2002 the lottery chose 10 finalists. Their names are the following:

Conley Stephens of Conway
