Sleepless Night for $125,000 Blacksburg Winner
7/17/2017 9:20:25 AM

COLUMBIA, SC (July 17, 2017) – At 2 a.m. a Blacksburg woman was having a bowl of cereal. She couldn’t sleep. A $125,000 winning lottery ticket was keeping her awake.

“I forgot to eat dinner,” she told lottery officials when she arrived the next day to cash in the winning 7X The Money scratch-off. “I was in shock.”

She says she asked her husband to buy her a lottery ticket at Harry Food Mart on E. Cherokee St. in Blacksburg. When she scratched the ticket, she started screaming.

“It’s a game changer for us,” said the husband, who slept like a baby after the win.

Now that the prize is paid, Harry Food Mart in Blacksburg receives a $1,250 commission.

Two top prizes of $125,000 remain in the ($5) 7X The Money game, at odds of 1 in 480,000.
