COLUMBIA, SC (March 14, 2017) – There’s a new truck parked in the driveway of a Little Mountain home after the owner won $250,000 playing the South Carolina Education Lottery.

“This is so cool,” the winner said.

He brought his dad along to cash in the winning $250,000 Green scratch-off he purchased for $10 at the Shiv Mart IV on Chapin Rd. in Chapin. The winner says he held onto the winning ticket while his dad drove to the Lottery’s Columbia claims center.

“I kept looking at the ticket to make sure I wasn’t dreaming,” he said.

The father and son’s first stop on the way home was the bank followed by the car lot.

Two top prizes of $250,000 remain in the $250,000 Green game, at odds of 1 in 696,000.

For selling the claimed ticket, Shiv Mart IV in Chapin received a commission of $2,500.
