At the Beach, Camden Woman Wins $125,000

COLUMBIA, SC (November 18, 2016) – A Camden woman unpacked a $125,000 lottery win from her suitcase.

She won the cash while vacationing with family in Myrtle Beach.

“It was a good trip,” she admitted to lottery officials, when she returned home.

The winner, who doesn’t usually play the Lottery, says she splurged on a $5 Money Madness ticket, because she was on trip and family members were buying tickets.

“I relaxed after that,” she said. “We’ll go back to Myrtle Beach next year.”

Circle K #2723057 in North Myrtle Beach sold the winning ticket. Now that the prize is paid, the store receives a $1,250 commission.

Three top prizes of $125,000 remain in the $5 Money Madness game, at odds of 1 in 480,000.
