COLUMBIA, SC (October 13, 2016) – Two friends from Easley are sharing a $2 million Mega Millions® prize.

The winners did not wish to be identified but shared they couldn’t be happier their $2 Mega Millions® ticket matched the first five numbers drawn (24, 37, 42, 50, and 65 MB: 14) last Friday night.

The two were talking on the phone when they checked their ticket to see if they won.

“I started screaming,” said the friend who keeps the tickets.

“I just hoped it was true,” said the friend on the other end of the line.

While they haven’t made any specific plans for the prize money, they said there would be no extravagant purchases. The win will make life more comfortable.

The odds of winning $1 million playing Mega Millions® are about 1 in 18.5 million and the odds of getting a X2 with Megaplier are 1 in 7.5.

For selling the claimed ticket, The Spinx Easley #443 in Easley received a commission of $20,000.

The Mega Millions® jackpot for Friday night’s drawing is an estimated $15 million.
