Anderson Man Cashes in $100,000 Winning Ticket

COLUMBIA, SC (August 12, 2016) Five lottery numbers an Anderson man played turned up lucky last Friday night, winning him $100,000.

The winner, who asked not to be identified, won playing Palmetto Cash 5. He told lottery officials he picked the numbers 2, 8, 14, 27, and 34 at random and stuck with them through several drawings. Hes undecided if hell keep playing them.

Im just going home to Anderson and think about it, he said leaving with his check.

Had the winner Powered-Up for an extra $1, his winnings would have tripled to $300,000.

The odds of winning $100,000 playing Palmetto Cash 5 are 1 in 501,942.

For selling the claimed ticket, Whitehall Express Mart in Anderson received a commission of $1,000.
