13 Proves Lucky for Columbia Lottery Winner

COLUMBIA, SC (July 19, 2016) – After 13 years of playing the Lottery a Columbia woman’s patience paid off.

On Sunday she won $200,000.

“I was about to give up,” she admitted. “But my prayers were answered.”

Her Palmetto Cash 5 ticket purchased at Mr. Price Mini Mart LLC on Booker St. in Columbia matched all 5 numbers drawn (13, 16, 19, 29, and 36), one of which was the lucky number “13.” And because she Powered-Up for an extra $1, her winnings doubled to $200,000.

And she’s decided to keep playing the South Carolina Education Lottery.

“I’m going to relax too,” she said.

The odds of winning $200,000 playing Palmetto Cash 5 are 1 in 1,003,884.

For selling the claimed ticket, Mr. Price Mini Mart LLC in Columbia received a commission of $2,000.
