COLUMBIA, SC (May 4, 2016) – Melissa Beck scratched off a $100,000 lottery win on a ticket her boyfriend gave her.

He picked out the Double Jackpot scratch-off at the Murray Enterprises on Hwy. 61 in Ridgeville on his way home from work and was at Beck’s side when she revealed the big win.

“I didn’t believe it,” Beck said. “This is huge for us.”

Her boyfriend was even more surprised.

“I thought I was going to go crazy,” he said.

The couple from Ruffin has decided to use the winnings to pay off their home and buy a piece of land.

Three top prizes of $100,000 remain in the $5 Double Jackpot game, at odds of 1 in 480,000.

For selling the claimed ticket, Murray Enterprises in Ridgeville received a commission of $1,000.
