Back-to-Back Palmetto Cash 5 Wins for Lowcountry Players
3/24/2016 9:54:13 AM

COLUMBIA, SC (March 24, 2016) – For the second night in a row, the Palmetto Cash 5 game has produced a top prize winner out of the lowcountry. A Goose Creek player is waking up $100,000 richer this morning off a ticket purchased from the Food Lion #1072 on Crowfield Blvd.

The ticket matched all five numbers drawn (3, 5, 6, 30, and 38) on Wednesday to win $100,000.

Tuesday’s winning Palmetto Cash 5 ticket, bought in North Charleston at the Kwik Stop on N. Rhett Ave., was claimed by a Charleston man yesterday. The winner did not want his name released, but did pick the winning number combination himself.

More than 4,300 Palmetto Cash 5 players won prizes from $1 up to $100,000 in last night’s drawing. More than 2,800 players spent an extra $1 to purchase the Power-Up multiplier and will have their winnings multiplied by two when claimed.

Check your tickets. Winners have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes. For complete information on claiming prizes, visit sceducationlottery.com.

The odds of winning $100,000 playing Palmetto Cash 5 are 1 in 501,942.

Proceeds from every dollar spent by players on the South Carolina Education Lottery are returned to the state in the form of funding for education, prizes, retailer commissions, and payment to contractors for goods and services.
