1/21/2016 10:26:36 AM

COLUMBIA, SC (January 21, 2016) – A Travelers Rest couple surprised their daughter at the University of South Carolina this week when they showed up unannounced.

The family went to lunch and afterwards the ladies went shopping, while Dad went alone to cash in a $100,000 lottery ticket.

He won the prize in Monday night’s Palmetto Cash 5 drawing.

“Just me and my wife know,” he said.

They plan to tell the kids, eventually.

The odds of winning $100,000 playing Palmetto Cash 5 are 1 in 501,942.

For selling the claimed ticket, Piedmont Petro Corner Mart #31 in Taylors received a commission of $1,000.
