Sumter Man is a Three Time Lottery Winner
10/8/2015 11:01:28 AM

COLUMBIA, SC (October 8, 2015) – 2015 has been a lucky year for a Sumter lottery player.

He’s has three wins that combined total $550,000.

Yesterday he cashed in a $200,000 winning ticket. In July he won $250,000. And in February he won $100,000. All the wins were on scratch-off tickets.

“I love playing the Lottery,” the winner said.

Before this year, he says the most he won playing was $1,000. So how does he explain the reversal of fortune?

“I was in the right place at the right time,” he spoke. “The Lord blessed me.”

With his winnings he’s given generously to his church, helped his family, and bought a house and a car. He retired after the $250,000 win. And he plans to invest much of yesterday’s prize money.

“I’m going to keep playing,” he said.

His recent win came on a $10 Double Payday scratch-off. One top prize of $200,000 remains in the game, at odds of 1 in 696,000.

For selling the claimed ticket, North Guignard Sunoco in Sumter received a commission of $2,000.
