Relaxing at Home, Warrenville Man Scratches Off a $125,000 Win

COLUMBIA, SC (September 14, 2015) – Sitting on his porch a Warrenville man scratched a lottery ticket with a quarter and won $125,000.

He called his wife first to tell her he won, and then he called his boss to ask for the day off.

“I’m going to pay off everything,” the winner told lottery officials when he turned over in his Giant Jumbo Bucks ticket.

His wife, with tear-filled eyes said she would like to share some of the money with the couple’s children.

The Warrenville winner claimed the last top prize of $125,000 in the $5 Giant Jumbo Bucks game, at odds of 1 in 495,000.

For selling the claimed ticket, Dart Discount Tobacco LLC in Warrenville received a commission of $1,250.
