New Mom and Lottery Winner Starts College Fund for Her Baby
9/14/2015 10:19:50 AM

COLUMBIA, SC (September 14, 2015) – An Augusta, GA, mom is investing her lottery winnings in her baby’s future.

“I’m starting a college fund,” she said looking down at the newborn asleep in her lap.

She was waiting at the Lottery’s Claims Center in Columbia on her $100,000 prize money won on a Spy Some Cash scratch-off purchased in Aiken at the Kangaroo Express #3271 on the Columbia Hwy.

She says winning the Lottery felt “weird,” because she never expected a big win to happen to her.

One top prize of $100,000 remains in the $5 Spy Some Cash game, at odds of 1 in 480,000.

For selling the claimed ticket, Kangaroo Express #3271 in Aiken received a commission of $1,000.
