COLUMBIA, SC (August 27, 2015) A South Carolinian has come forward to claim a lottery ticket worth $500,000 sold at a Hilton Head retailer last week.

The winner has asked for privacy but confirmed hes a regular Palmetto Cash 5 player, having played the same numbers for years. His devotion paid off last Thursday with a Palmetto Cash 5 win totaling half-a-million dollars.

The Station One at 1 Palmetto Pkwy. in Hilton Head is the winning destination and, now that the prize is claimed, will receive a $5,000 commission.

The winning numbers were 7, 14, 23, 25, and 30. Spending the extra $1 for Power-Up multiplied the $100,000 win to $500,000 when a 5 was drawn.

The winner says hell keep working and relax with his next egg.

The odds of winning $500,000 playing Palmetto Cash 5 are 1 in 8,031,072.
