Heat up your summer with new instant tickets

Columbia, SC: The South Carolina Education Lottery (SCEL) is turning up the heat with their newest $2 dollar ticket, FIRE-N-ICE. This ticket goes on sale Tuesday, July 02, 2002 at more than 3,500 lottery retailers statewide.

Each $2 FIRE-N-ICE ticket offers a top prize of $10,000 dollars instantly. Lottery players can win up to 8 times per ticket. Prizes range from $2, $5, $10, $15, $50, $100, $200, $500, $10,000. Approximate odds of winning a prize are 1:5.

To play FIRE-N-ICE the player must scratch the entire purple play area that features flames and diamonds. Match any of YOUR NUMBERS to the WINNING NUMBER or the BONUS NUMBER, win the prize shown. There are over $5.8 million dollars in prizes to be won.

The SCEL is also introducing a $1 dollar ticket that features a top prize of $500. This newest ticket is called HEADS OR TAILS.

Each $1 HEADS OR TAILS ticket features prizes ranging from $1, $2, $5, $15, $500. Players can win up to 4 times on a ticket.

To play HEADS OR TAILS, the player must scratch the entire black and gold play area. If the player gets 2 HEADS or 2 TAILS in the same toss, they win the prize shown for that toss. There are more than $3.5 million dollars in the prize pool.

Prizes up to $500 may be redeemed at any SCEL lottery retail location.

Prizes$501 to $25,000 may be redeemed at any of the SCEL regional offices.
