Aiken Man Wins Lottery on Way to Work
6/15/2015 9:44:53 AM

COLUMBIA, SC (June 15, 2015) – In a reversal, an Aiken man got paid before clocking in.

He was on his way to work, when he stopped for coffee and a lottery ticket. He forgot all about his coffee when the ticket he scratched won him $200,000.

Already parked at work, he locked the winning 50X ticket in his car and went on in.

“It was hard to concentrate,” the winner admitted. “I was pretty hyped up.”

His boss gave him permission to leave, but he stayed and worked the rest of his shift.

“I’m taking today off,” he said.

He needs time to start this new house hunt.

Two top prizes of $200,000 remain in the 50X game, at odds of 1 in 696,000.

For selling the claimed ticket, the Hot Spot #3003 in New Ellenton received a commission of $2,000.
