Greenwood Couple Celebrating $200,000 Lottery Win with a Vacation
6/9/2015 10:13:12 AM

COLUMBIA, SC (June 9, 2015) – A Greenwood man opened his wallet and found $200,000.

Inside was a $2 lottery ticket he purchased at the Nu Way of Waterloo for last Tuesday night’s Palmetto Cash 5 drawing (12, 17, 18, 25 and 33/Power-Up: 2).

“Woooooh!” he yelled.

His wife was speechless.

“We are going somewhere,” the winner promised her. “I don’t know where, but we are going, just the two of us.”

The quick pick overcame odds of 1 in 1,003,884 to win Palmetto Cash 5’s top prize. Spending the extra $1 for Power-Up doubled the $100,000 win to $200,000 when a “2” was drawn.

For selling the claimed ticket, Nu Way of Waterloo received a commission of $2,000.
