5/15/2015 10:41:26 AM

COLUMBIA, SC (May 15, 2015) – A $1 million winning ticket has been sold on Ladys Island.

The Tiger Express 20 on Sea Island Pkwy. is the winning destination.

The winner, who declined to release his name, won playing the $10 Million Dollar Series scratch-off. And his identity remains a mystery even to the clerks who sold the winning ticket.

Lottery officials can say the millionaire was lucky enough to overcome odds of 1 in 1.6 million to win the last $1 million top prize in the Million Dollar Series game.

Non-winning Million Dollar Series tickets can still be entered online for a second-chance drawing to win $1 million until September 8 for the drawing on September 15. For complete details, visit sclottery.com.

The Tiger Express 20 received a commission of $10,000 for selling the claimed ticket.

Since the start of the Lottery in 2002, more than 1.4 million college scholarships and grants have been awarded to South Carolina’s students. In all, more than $3.7 BILLION has been transferred to support educational programs in the Palmetto State.
