COLUMBIA, SC (April 28, 2015) – A Honea Path man padded his nest egg with a $200,000 lottery win last week.

The winner, who asked not to be identified, is looking forward to retirement, starting now.

He didn’t let on to anyone inside the Charles Quick Stop on S. Church St. in Honea Path when he won the top prize on a $200,000 Super Cash ticket bought at the store.

“I stuck the ticket in my back pocket and walked out,” he said. “I got in my car and left.”

Only his wife knows, and he surprised her with the winning news over dinner.

“He deserves this,” she said.

Two top prizes of $200,000 remain in the $200,000 Super Cash game. Odds of winning $200,000 are 1 in 600,000.

For selling the claimed ticket, Charles Quick Stop in Honea Path received a commission of $2,000.
