3/4/2015 8:34:32 AM

COLUMBIA, SC (March 4, 2015) A cell phone photo taken by a Wedgefield woman of her $150,000 winning ticket let slip a secret she was keeping from the kids.

Moms secret was out when her teenage daughter asked to borrow the phone.

I begged her to not say anything, the winner said.

No one knew shed won the top prize on the $5 Heritage Classic Foundation scratch-off, not even the clerk that sold her the ticket at Battens of Wedgefield on Hwy 261.

I wanted to scream, she admitted when it happened, but took the photo as a memento.

Shes considering deleting the image now and taking her teenage daughter shopping.

Two top prizes of $150,000 remain in the Heritage Classic Foundation game. Odds of winning the top prize are 1 in 520,000.

For selling the claimed ticket, Battens of Wedgefield II Inc. in Wedgefield received a commission of $1,500.
