1/21/2015 8:37:58 AM

COLUMBIA, SC (January 21, 2015) – How does $1,000 a day for life sound?

That’s the top prize in the Lucky for Life game coming to South Carolina this month. In addition to our lottery, eight other state lotteries will be joining the multi-state game presently offered in six New England states.

South Carolinians will get their first opportunity to play Lucky for Life when tickets go on sale next Tuesday, January 27, at a cost of $2.

Drawings will be on Mondays and Thursdays with the first Lucky for Life drawing held on Thursday, January 29.

To play Lucky for Life, players select five numbers out of 48 and then choose a “Lucky Ball” number from 1 to 18 or players can opt for a quick pick.

Match all six numbers to win the top prize of $1,000 a day for life or elect to take a one-time cash payment.

Match the first five numbers drawn to win $25,000 a year for life. There are eight other ways to match and win prizes. If there are multiple prize winners at the 5+1, the 5+0, and the 4+1 prize levels, then the value of the prize will be divided as provided in the Official Game Rules.

Odds of winning the top prize are about 1 in 30.8 million. Overall odds of winning are 1 in 7.77.
