COLUMBIA, SC (January 14, 2015) – Two weeks into 2015, a Beaufort single mom made good on her resolution for a better year by winning a $200,000 lottery prize.

“It’s a beautiful feeling,” she said of owning the top prize in the Money Mania scratch-off.

Like many single moms, she admits to struggles. But now her bills are paid, some even paid ahead and there’s money set aside for emergencies.

“You feel like your eyes are playing tricks on you, like it’s a dream,” she said describing the moment she won six-figures sitting alone in her car parked at the Lady Island Shell on the Sea Island Parkway.

She couldn’t wait to tell her kids the good news.

“I don’t tell them the actual amount I won,” she confessed. “They think money grows on trees.”

As of this release, four top prizes of $200,000 remain in the Money Mania game. The odds of winning $200,000 are 1 in 600,000.

For selling the claimed ticket, Lady Island Shell #4 in Beaufort received a $2,000 commission.
