COLUMBIA, SC (January 13, 2015) – There’s $422 million up for grabs between Mega Millions® and Powerball® this week!

Tonight’s Mega Millions® jackpot is the larger of the two at $246 million. That’s a cash value of $159 million.

Tickets are $1 and must be purchased by 10 p.m. for the drawing at 11 p.m. tonight. The odds of winning South Carolina’s first Mega Millions® jackpot are about one in 259 million.

The state’s celebrated seven Powerball® jackpot wins, and came close again on Saturday. Powerball® tickets sold in Orangeburg, Florence, Gaffney and Bishopville missed the coveted prize by one number to win $10,000.

Powerball® draws again tomorrow night, this time for an estimated $176 million, with $117 million for a onetime cash payout. Tickets run $2 with jackpot odds of about one in 176 million.

Powerball® players have until 9:59 p.m. Wednesday to buy tickets for tomorrow’s 10:59 p.m. drawing. Tickets are available at most convenience stores and grocery stores around the state.

Good luck, South Carolina, and please, play responsibly!
