SCEL makes fifth transfer to Education
6/15/2002

Columbia, SC: The South Carolina Education Lottery (SCEL) announces its fifth transfer to the State Treasurer for deposit into the Education Lottery Account in the amount of $7,250,000.

To date, the SCEL has transferred a total of $70,250,000 to the Education Lottery Account.

“The lottery was contractually obligated to pay Scientific Games International $5.2 million dollars as payment for our terminals and computer equipment,” says SCEL’s Executive Director Ernie Passailaigue. “Therefore the transfer amount is less than previous months”.

The Education Lottery Act requires the SCEL to make a monthly transfer of lottery proceeds to the State Treasurer.
