COLUMBIA, SC (October 28, 2014) – With two competing jackpots at over $100 million, how do you choose?

Here are the facts.

Tonight’s Mega Millions® jackpot is the larger at $252 million. Tickets are just $1. But the odds of winning it all are steeper at about one in 259 million.

South Carolina has yet to bring home a Mega Millions® jackpot. The state’s laid claim to seven Powerball® jackpot wins.

We had a close call on Saturday, when a Powerball® player in Florence missed it by one number but still won $1 million. Tomorrow night Powerball® draws again, this time for an estimated $142 million. Tickets run $2 with jackpot odds of one in 176 million.

To take a chance on Mega Millions® tonight, players must pick up a ticket by 10 p.m. for the drawing at 11 p.m. Powerball® players have until 9:59 p.m. for tomorrow’s 10:59 p.m. drawing. Tickets are available at most convenience stores and grocery stores around the state.

Good luck South Carolina and please, play responsibly!
