$200,000 Lottery Win Brings Family Together
10/21/2014 12:49:15 PM

COLUMBIA, SC (October 21, 2014) – It looked like a family reunion, but instead of potato salad, a West Columbia family was passing around a lottery ticket believed to be worth $200,000.

“I needed some more eyes,” the lottery winner explained after scratching the ticket, so he invited his whole family over. And they came, a room full of adults and children gathered in his den to see the winning Cash Money ticket for themselves.

“I didn’t believe it,” the retired winner said.

But, he’s a believer now. Yesterday, his daughter accompanied him to cash in the winning scratch-off purchased at the Pitt Stop #06 on Augusta Rd. in Lexington.

He was completely relaxed and in his words, “feeling fine,” while he waited for the check.

His daughter hinted at another family get together.

As of this release, one top prize of $200,000 remains in the $10 Cash Money game. The odds of winning $200,000 are 1 in 600,000.

For selling the claimed ticket, Pitt Stop #06 in Lexington received a $2,000 commission.
