COLUMBIA, SC (August 29, 2014) – A Mauldin woman won $100,000 in the Lottery playing numbers her husband picked.

She asked for his help, so he went online and after looking through past winning Palmetto Cash 5 numbers settled on the following five – 6, 20, 21, 35, and 38.

She played his numbers at the Pavan Food Store on E. Butler Rd. in Mauldin and matched every single one drawn last Friday to win the game’s top prize.

“We just got lucky,” she laughed.

Her husband might respectfully disagree.

Odds of winning $100,000 playing Palmetto Cash 5 are 1 in 501,942.

For selling the claimed ticket, Pavan Food Store in Mauldin received a commission of $1,000.

To date, lottery play has resulted in more than $3.4 billion transferred to support education.
