Laurens Has Its First Lottery Millionaire

COLUMBIA, SC (June 11, 2014) Tired, a Laurens man didnt feel like a million bucks, but that is what hes worth.

He claimed the last $1 MILLION top prize on the Millionaire Madness ticket today.

The win has changed my life, the winner said.

The Corner Stop #54 on Fleming St. sold him the winning ticket yesterday.

He scratched it sitting at the kitchen table after walking his dog.

His family was not only surprised by the big win, but his admission to having slept with the ticket last night underneath his pillow.

Ive got an old truck, the millionaire said. I might buy a new one.

He overcame odds of 1 in 1.4 million to become the first lottery millionaire to call Laurens home.

For selling the claimed ticket, Corner Stop #54 in Laurens received a commission of $10,000.
