Girlfriend’s Lucky Touch Wins Father and Son $250,000 Prize

COLUMBIA, SC (June 10, 2014) – A Greenville father and son promised that if either won the Lottery, they’d split the winnings.

Friday they halved a $250,000 prize from the South Carolina Education Lottery.

The son brought the winning ticket at ED’s GT Express Mart 7 on N. Pleasantburg Dr. in Greenville and let his girlfriend scratch it.

“Apparently, I’m very lucky,” she laughed.

The girlfriend says she didn’t have a clue The Big $10 Ticket was a winner until she handed it back to her boyfriend to inspect.

“You won!” he screamed.

While a housewarming is in the young couple’s future, the father has already started spending his share of the prize money.

“My boyfriend and his daddy keep asking me to do it again,” the girlfriend said. “I told them luck doesn’t work like that.”

Four top prizes of $250,000 remain in The Big $10 Ticket game. Odds of winning $250,000 are 1 in 600,000.

For selling the claimed ticket, ED’s GT Express Mart 7 in Greenville received a commission of $2,500.
