COLUMBIA, SC (April 17, 2014) – Sister-in-laws Karen Martin and Teri D’angelo play the lottery together and share the winnings.

Saturday the Surfside Beach retirees won and split $500.

On their way to lunch yesterday the two tried their luck, this time pocketing $20,000.

Like always, D’angelo picked out the ticket for Martin to scratch.

“Please tell me my eyes aren’t wrong,” Martin said showing D’angelo the amount.

They decided to skip lunch and head for Columbia with the Lucky Shamrock ticket that cost them $2 at the Kangaroo Express on Glenns Bay Rd.

I had a feeling we were going to hit it,” said D’Angelo.

Their first splurge will be taking the family out to dinner to celebrate the win.

“I’m haven’t eaten since breakfast,” said Martin.

As of this release, two top prizes of $20,000 remain in the $2 Lucky Shamrock game. Odds of winning the top prize were 1 in 400,000.

For selling the claimed ticket, Kangaroo Express #792 in Surfside Beach received a commission of $200.
