DIY Projects Done With $100,000 Lottery Win

COLUMBIA, SC (March 28, 2014) – A Summerville couple is handing over their do-it-yourself projects to professionals.

A $100,000 winning Palmetto Cash 5 ticket the husband bought at the Bi-Lo on Boone Hill Rd. in Summerville is covering the home improvement costs.

The couple sat up all night talking after the lottery results came in.

“I feel like all the pressure is off,” the husband said.

His advice to others looking to win, “praying does help,” he said.

So does persistence. He plays Palmetto Cash 5 every day. Sometimes he picks his own numbers, but his winning ticket was a quick pick for Monday’s evening drawing (9, 19, 28, 31, and 34).

“I’m framing it,” he said, showing off a copy of the winning ticket.

Odds of winning $100,000 playing Palmetto Cash 5 are 1 in 501,942.

For selling the claimed ticket, Bi-Lo #5296 in Summerville received a commission of $1,000.

To date, lottery play has resulted in more than $3.3 billion transferred to support education.
