COLUMBIA, SC (February 25, 2014) – A North Carolina woman won $200,000 playing the South Carolina Education Lottery on her birthday.

The birthday girl lives just over the border but had dinner plans in Myrtle Beach where she bought the Red Hot Ticket at the Murphy USA on Kings Rd.

“Happy Birthday to me,” she said gifting herself a new car and a down payment on a house.

She says she’s bought her last lottery ticket.

“I’ll never be that lucky again,” she reasons.

As of this release, one top prize of $200,000 remains in the $10 Red Hot Ticket game. Odds of winning the top prize are 1 in 600,000.

For selling the claimed ticket, Murphy USA #5731 in Myrtle Beach received a commission of $2,000.
