$2 MILLION Powerball® Ticket Sold in Clover

COLUMBIA, SC (February 6, 2014) – A Powerball® ticket sold in Clover came within one number of winning last night’s $215 million jackpot. The ticket worth $2 MILLION was purchased from the Quik Trip #1057 at 4020 Charlotte Hwy. in Clover for Wednesday night’s drawing.

The ticket sold in Clover matched all five white ball numbers drawn. The ticket holder purchased PowerPlay® for an extra $1, to have the $1 million prize increase to $2 MILLION.

Check your tickets. More than 12,000 players in South Carolina hold tickets for prizes from $4 up to $2 MILLION. Of these, more than 4,700 players purchased PowerPlay® to see their non-jackpot winnings, excluding the Match 5 prize, multiplied by three. The odds of winning $2 million are 1 in 5,153,633.

The estimated Powerball® jackpot for Saturday, February 8, is $247 million.

Proceeds from every dollar spent by players on the South Carolina Education Lottery are returned to the state in the form of funding for education, prizes, retailer commissions, and payment to contractors for goods and services.
