Cottageville Man Checks Off To-Do List
1/27/2014 8:31:39 AM

COLUMBIA, SC (January 27, 2014) – A Cottageville man’s to-do list is finally getting done.

He’s replacing his worn out car.

He’s traveling to see a grandbaby he’s never met.

And he’s retiring for the second time.

All great things made possible this week when he scratched a $5 lottery ticket to win $100,000.

“When it happened, I saw all the things I’ve needed and wanted to do and now can,” he said.

This marks the third big win in three years with a Cottageville connection. Previously, the BP on the Cottageville Highway sold $1 million Powerball® ticket last year and sold a $1 million Mega Millions® ticket in 2012.

Odds of winning the last remaining top prize of $100,000 in the 100X The Cash game are 1 in 600,000.

For selling the claimed winning ticket, Kangaroo Express #3877 in North Charleston received a commission of $1,000.

Since the start of the Lottery in 2002, more than one million college scholarships and grants have been awarded to South Carolina’s students. In all, more than $3.2 BILLION has been transferred to support educational programs in the Palmetto State.
