SCEL transfers $12 million to the Education Fund

Columbia, SC: On Thursday, May 9, 2002 the South Carolina Education Lottery (SCEL) transferred $12 million dollars to the State Treasury for the Education Lottery Account. This is the fourth transfer since the launch of the lottery, January 7, 2002.

To date, the SCEL has transferred $63 million dollars to the Education Fund.

The Education Lottery Act requires the SCEL to make a monthly transfer of the lottery proceeds to the State Treasure.
